Ross Bleckner
On page three of The New York Times, section A, an advertisement for Tiffany jewelry appears in the upper right corner next to a news story, typically featuring an international tragedy. The juxtaposition of the ad and the article are often ironic and uncanny. CC:S partnered with artist Ross Bleckner as art director and designer to produce his concept book, titled A3: Our Lives in The New York Times. We combed through hundreds of clippings that Bleckner had saved over the past few decades, and selected and sequenced the most provocative juxtapositions by topic.
